Location: Sourland Mountain Preserve (Hillsborough, NJ)
Subject: This painting is one of 3 focusing on the Sourland Preserve that my husband and I frequently hike. The secluded trail, for this scene, leads along the Roaring Brook where large amounts of enormous ancient boulders and rocks are found. I photographed the image for this painting in the late fall while on a hike with my daughter and husband. I particularly love to climb over the boulders and peak into the crevices to watch and hear the water flow through.
