Location: Sourland Mountain Preserve, Hillsborough, NJ

Subject: This painting is one of three that focus on the Sourland Mountains. The late summer scene is based on a photograph I took of my daughter Lauren, while we were hiking down the pipeline path in early September. The flowers at this location attract butterflies in great numbers and they make a beautiful humming sound, but we did not see them on the day I took this photograph.
