Location: Delaware Raritan Canal State Park (Kingston, NJ)

Subject: This painting is one in a series of 3 focusing on the canal’s wildlife, trees plants and waterways that was painted on location in the Fall. This small oasis of beauty seems to be a favorite spot for friendly local fishermen and remarkable birds. The Millstone River just begins after the dam of the Carnegie Lake and spreads out into a marshy area with an abundance of poison ivy. I was thrilled when I first came upon the area and the historic structures are equally captivating.
