Location: Salzburg Area of Austria (Pfarrwerfen); the Tennengebirge mountain range in the region of Pongau.

Subject: This painting is based on photographs I took while hiking in the Alps of Austria. While visiting my friend, Maren Degen and her family in Germany, we traveled to their family retreat that overlooks the mountain range. A balcony facing the mountains gave me an opportune space to paint. I devoted a few hours in the morning to painting and then hiked in the afternoons.
